About the place
Welcome to Tavira Stay.
A cosy, light-filled apartment in a quiet residential pocket of Tavira, a 10-minute walk from the charming old town. From the front door, follow the river Gilão past sun-bleached fishing boats, wander the cobblestone streets, and cross the historic Roman Bridge to find the lively side of town — full of restaurants, tile-clad churches and easy local life.
The Porta Nova train station is just 4 minutes' walk away, connecting you to Faro and its international airport, Vila Real de Santo António on the Spanish border, and the long line of beach towns in between. The beaches of Ilha de Tavira and Praia do Barril are a short ferry or drive away.
The apartment itself is open, calm and modern — a sofa for film nights, a dining table for shared meals, a proper kitchen for cooking what you find at the market, and bedrooms that actually let you sleep in. We look forward to hosting you.
10 minutes to the old town
Stroll along the river Gilão, cross the legendary Roman Bridge, and you're in the heart of Tavira — restaurants, cafés, gelato and tiled facades on every corner.
4 minutes to Porta Nova station
Direct trains to Faro (airport), Vila Real de Santo António and Algarve's best beach towns. Leave the car behind and let the train do the work.

This isn't a year-round rental. The apartment is available only between June and August 2026. Once those weeks are taken, that's it for the year. If you're flexible on dates, send a message — we'll find the best week for your trip.
